LOOP

Concept Store | Interactive Exhibition (Interdisciplinary) University Group Project in Cooperation with Pioneers
(L. Jasso, N. Jedrashi, M. Kiessig, L. Twamley, R. Vereniūtė)
2022
LOOP is a concept retail store, but much more than that - it's a link between brands, newcomers and customers; it's educational, transparent, forward-thinking, and constantly evolving. It's about the process behind the things we use, how we get from an idea to a final product. LOOP aims to take makers and audiences alike on a journey of learning and participation.
LOOP has a team of curators who select brands and newcomers according to different categories, considering conscious materials and transparent processes. They create themes that connect brands either through similar materials, processes or products. The themes are exhibited in-store and online with the help of different artists and designers. The exhibitions change throughout the year and are always tangible and interactive.

LOOP, the brands and the audience are interconnected. This platform for makers connects experienced producers and newcomers alike and provides expertise for their business development and presentation to the audience. LOOP not only helps newcomers find their place, but also encourages collaboration and mentoring with other well-known and established brands.

LOOP offers a seamless experience between the digital and the analogue, allowing the audience to experience a unique journey "from first sketch to final product". The customer gets full transparency from the brands and can therefore make informed purchase decisions, but they are also of value to the brands by giving them feedback.
The entrance welcomes visitors to the store, introduces the theme and explains the concept, and they can try out the touch-controlled interactive walls for the first time. The projected animations are set in motion by touching the electric paint by Bare Conductive. | SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, Procreate
The interactive walls throughout the shop allow visitors to explore the themed products, processes and materials–they embark on an educational journey. | SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, Procreate
Website & App Prototype | The digital touchpoints, including the website, provide a similar exploratory experience. You can find out about the current exhibitions, events and workshops, but also get in touch with other brands, manufacturers and all other LOOP fans. Products can be purchased in the website shop–and in the accompanying app. | Figma, Procreate, Adobe Illustrator

LOOP should be accessible, visible and well integrated into the cityscape. Public installations of different scales (inspired by artist Jeong Greem) are placed in the neighbourhood to attract the attention of passers-by and lead them to LOOP. The sculptures invite people to use the app to turn the physical doodle into an AR doodle line leading to the store (possible collaboration with the app "just a line").
The ever-changing framework can adapt to countless exhibitions, while the sustainable Honext boards provide the blank canvas for new content, graphics, artists and products. The archive presents pieces from past exhibitions and workshops. The forum invites to talks, workshops, performances, etc. | SketchUp, V-Ray
With each exhibition, the modular scaffolding system adapts or even expands as needed. There are unlimited possibilities to mount the interactive panels as well as to present products of different sizes. | SketchUp, V-Ray
Participation is an essential part of Loop. In a potential collaboration with Repaper, a mixed analogue/digital experience is offered: You can draw with any pen on real paper and see it on the screen. In this way, you can sketch your idea for a product made of a new material presented in the exhibition or add to existing images of prototypes to give feedback on a new product in development. | SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, Procreate
Product prototypes can be tested and small surveys on the interactive walls help to provide feedback on products in development or to improve existing products. | SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop, Procreate
Another way to get active is to participate in workshops that involve customers even more in the background story of the products. Both the workshops and other events can be booked via the Loop app. | Figma, Procreate, Adobe Illustrator
